MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 RC1 released!
To fullfill our goal we need your help! Please download the new release candidate (which should be quite safe to use) and report the remaining bugs. While we're trying to squish those bugs the skin and plugin devs might want to use the time to get their goodies ready for the 0.2.3 final release.

This RC1 has been optimized to be used equally well with the inbuild tv plugin as well as with the new tv engine 3.
Despite of mantis'ed bug #1038 (sometimes skip to start of timeshift buffer when zapping) the new TV Engine should be stable enough for primetime usage.
You'll enjoy faster zapping times as well as more exact channel scanning. In addition you can close or kill MediaPortal but your recordings will still go on! More advanced users might love to be able to use all tv features including schedules, recordings, etc from every PC in the household. Schedule the blockbuster from your Notebook, let the HTPC record it and watch it with another MediaPortal client in your bedroom :)
The upcoming 0.2.3 release will be the last including the "classic" TV plugin. The internal roadmap (the teammates will kill me for telling you..) for MP 0.3 includes work on integrating the TV Engine 3 plugin seamlessly into MediaPortal and making the setup process easier.
If you encounter any reproduceable issues please start a bug report with all required informations in our quality assurance forums.
Please have a look at our Bugtracker before you start a bugreport. Maybe the issue is already known.

From now on all svn-builds require a 0.2.3.0 RC1 installation!
