Rescheduled 1.0.2 release to address critical issues of 1.0.1

Generally speaking, MediaPortal 1.0.1 is working very well for the majority of our users.
But there were some critical issues which did slip through into this release.

This is why we have decided to release MediaPortal 1.0.2 much earlier than planned, in order to fix the most critical issues some users are suffering from.

The 1.0.2 Installer will allow you to update a 1.0.0 and a 1.0.1 installation.

Known Issues and Workarounds:

Installer - .net Framework 2 SP1 error

The DeployTool throws an error on Vista systems about a missing .net Framework 2 SP1.
On Vista it is included in .net Framework 3 SP1 and can not be downloaded seperately.
You need to install the .net Framework 3.5SP1 on Vista systems.

TV-Server - multiple analog cards

Setups with multiple analog cards are not working.
Please use the patched files located in this thread until we release 1.0.2.

TV-Server - configuration shortcut (Vista)

You need to choose the "run as administrator" option on Vista when starting the TV-Server Configuration application.

Issues not caused by MediaPortal

In our forums and IRC we often get support questions from our users, where in the most cases MediaPortal is not the cause of the issue.

That is why we have created a Knowledge Base in our manual section (wiki) about the issues caused by 3rd part applications/codecs and how to fix them.

About The Project

The vision of the MediaPortal project is to create a free open source media centre application, which supports all advanced media centre functions, and is accessible to all Windows users.

In reaching this goal we are working every day to make sure our software is one of the best.

Support MediaPortal!

The team works very hard to make sure the community is running the best HTPC-software. We give away MediaPortal for free but hosting and software is not for us.

Care to support our work with a few bucks? We'd really appreciate it!
