MediaPortal Showcased at BigDesign 2011

For the first time in history MediaPortal will be on display at the BigDesign Conference 2011 - July 15-16, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Addison Texas.

If you are anywhere near Dallas Texas, drop by the show and check us out.  MediaPortal 1.2.0 beta will be displayed in a double booth on ten different screens ranging from 32" LCD TVs to 10" e-pads using aMPdroid. A variety of skins will be available, including our new Default skin and several of the latest skins for 1.2.0.  In addition to the promotional video for MediaPortal 1.2.0,  Lyfesaver74 has prepared ten short videos, including an introductory video by infinite.loop, that demonstrate different skins and features of both MediaPortal and many plugins.

The idea was first proposed by Lyfesaver74 only a month ago in the forum thread: Getting the word out.... MORE PR!!!!!.  Gratefully Lyfesaver74 was willing to spearhead the project. Through his initiative and hard work we have begun to develop a promotional package that anyone can use at trade shows, workshops or conventions.  A new brochure has already been completed.  Banners, flyers, stickers and other promotional materials are already in development and will soon be added to our Promotional Materials web page.

A live video feed will be available for the show, from 1-10PM GMT on both Friday, July 15 and Saturday, July 16.  If you are interested in accessing the feed, contact Lyfesaver74 via forum private message.   For further details, visit Lyfesaver74's MP PR website. This is a first step in our plans for increasing the visibility of MediaPortal worldwide, especially in North America.
